We employ an exclusive eco-friendly dry cleaning process which uses a non-toxic, odorless, colorless cleaning solution made from liquid silicone, an abundant natural resource and the same base ingredient used in hundreds of personal care products. Fabrics come out softer and more supple. Whites stay whiter. There is no shrinkage and your fine clothing retains its original size and shape.
Dress shirts are washed in small batches with the patience and care our customers deserve. Our process prevents all tangles, tears, fabric shine and damage to buttons. Your shirts are gently pressed using our air finishing equipment that gently sends steam through the shirt followed by warm air to vanquish all wrinkles. All shirts are inspected at the front counter upon arrival and continue to undergo a half a dozen additional inspections before they are returned to you. In the initial inspection, stains are identified and pre-spotted and any damages are repaired before the laundering process begins.
Designer jeans too long? Put them in our capable hands and we tailor them to fit you perfectly while retaining the look of the original hem. Shirt collar worn? Before you toss that dress shirt, check with us to see if you can reverse that collar. Have a household or home furnishing item that isn’t quite right? We also shorten curtains and drapes, fix broken zippers on couch cushions, hem tablecloths and re-attach tassels on decorative pillows. Need an emergency button sewn on or notice a seam on your favorite pants needs mending? Trust Chenille CLEANER!
Wedding dress preservation is equally important. We never seal wedding gowns in plastic which can cause discoloration. After finishing, your bridal gown will be preserved in our acid-free, museum quality box or natural muslin bag. As with all of our services, your gown will be inspected at the front counter upon arrival. If any damages are found, they will be repaired before any cleaning takes place.
Once cleaned, gowns are hand finished. And because we use gentle non-toxic cleaning solutions, you won’t have to worry about any lingering chemical odor.
Dry cleaning, the process itself: Dry cleaning uses fluids to remove soils and stains from fabrics. Among the advantages of dry cleaning is its ability to dissolve grease and oils in a way that water cannot. Natural fibers such as wools and silks dry clean beautifully, but can shrink, distort, and lose color when washed in water. Synthetic fibers like polyester also respond well to dry cleaning, whereas they can retain oily stains after washing. Dry cleaning helps to return garments to a "like-new" condition using precautions to prevent shrinkage, loss of color, and change of texture or finish.
Dry cleaning professionals also have commercial laundry departments where they process shirts, cotton pants, and other items. With the convenience and superior level of pressing that comes with commercial laundry, it won't just be your dry clean-only clothes that look like a million bucks. Your business casual and casual attire will look their best, too.
Some dry cleaning establishments specialize in odor removal and flood and fire restoration of water- or smoke-damaged items. These dry cleaners use ozone generators to do an ozone treatment. The contact between ozone and the odors embedded in the textiles causes oxidation to reoccur, resulting in the elimination of the odors and the release of oxygen. This is a safe and effective process.
Dry cleaners use complex procedures and special stain removal chemicals to remove stains. Stains are divided into two major categories: solvent-soluble stains and water-soluble stains. Different stains require different treatments, which stain removal technicians are trained to administer. Why risk a disaster using an over-the-counter "all-purpose" stain removal product or trying a "home remedy" when you could rely on your drycleaner's expert stain removal abilities?
